Dementium II HD is a remake of the Dementium II
DS game, for PC and Mac via Steam. Its release date
is December 17, 2013 on Steam for PC. Dementium II HD follows the original game's design
and gameplay closely, except graphics have been
remade in high definition. Steam Trading Cards are
featured, which are used for crafting badges and
unlocking emoticons and wallpapers. The official site
has videos, screenshots, and art. Reception Dementium II HD has received negative reviews.
Slant Magazine rated Dementium II HD a 1/10,
criticizing the lack of plot, the faulty checkpoint
system, and the dated graphics. GameSpot was
slightly less negative and gave it a score of 5/10,
stating that the puzzles are "uninspired, tedious filler", but praised the effective albeit familiar
horror atmosphere. Dementium II HD has a
Metacritic score of 42%.
